Anshuma Kshetrapal:
Anshuma Kshetrapal is a practicing Drama
and Movement Psychotherapist registered with BADth (British Association of
Dramatherapists). She has an MA in Psychosocial Clinical Studies from Ambedkar
university, Delhi, a FECAT certification from SMART, Bangalore and an MA
in Drama and Movement Therapy from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University
of London, UK. She is an advisory board member for the Creative Movement
Therapy Association of India (CMTAI) and is designing curriculum and teaching
in their Delhi, Bangalore and Pune courses. Having over 8 years of experience
as a trauma counselor, Anshuma has worked with adults and children, in the
field of mental health with a range of settings such as clinics, hospitals,
NGOs, schools and corporates in Delhi, Bangalore and London. In 2016, she
organized and completed a three month long, pan India tour in which she gave
several talks and conducted experiential workshops along with her colleagues
from the UK. Her current service offerings include individual and group
therapy, supervision and consultation for peers and junior creative arts therapists,
facilitating workshops in various settings and teaching in various institutes.
In her endeavour to spread awareness about the use of the arts for therapy, she
founded The Color of Grey Cells, to conduct workshops for students,
therapists and clients alike because she is passionate about spreading the word
about working with the mind and body nexus, using stories, poetry, movement,
role playing and visual arts.
Devika Mehta
Devika Mehta, Dance Movement Psychotherapists (RDMP / ADMPUK) &
Co-Founder of ‘Synchrony’, UK / Mumbai, has an MSc in Dance Movement
Psychotherapy (DMP) from Queen Margaret University, UK. She also has an M.A in
Clinical Psychology from Mumbai University and an MA in Indian folk
dance. She is an honorary advisory board member of Creative Movement
Therapy Association of India. She is also faculty for CMTAI and Artsphere
course(2017), SHIAMAK davar course (2014-16).
Devika works as a DMP for Goenka & Associates Educational Trust
(GAET) projects for children with special needs; for Janakalyan Sevashram,
providing counselling services for destitute children, women and at-risk
adolescents; as a DMP for The Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder
Society, India. She has worked with multiple organisations in mental
health settings, corporates and educational institutions. She has
also presented at various international conferences and knowledge exchange
retreats.
Preetha Ramasubramanian
Preetha Ramasubramanian did her MA in Dance
Movement Psychotherapy (DMP) and graduated with a distinction from Goldsmiths
College, University of London. As a DMP she gained broad exposure in the UK
working in different settings such as forensic psychiatric unit, special & mainstream
schools and facilitated workshops for the elderly.
On her return to India, Preetha founded
Kinesthetics – DMP and counselling center, where she works with varied
population. She also works as a consultant / guest lecturer for various
educational institutions, health care setups and in the corporate sector.
The following are the various certification
programs in which Preetha teaches and supervises all over india:
- 1 year Diploma in
Expressive Arts Therapy course, conducted by Women’s Christian College
& East West Centre for Counselling, Chennai from the time of its
inception.
- Creative Movement
Therapy Certification Course Bangalore and Pune conducted by CMTAI and
Artsphere - CMTAI, respectively.
- 1 year
Foundation course in Expressive & Creative Arts Therapies
(FECAT), conducted by Studio for Movement Art and Therapies, Bangalore
- Counsellor Education –
Disability and Mental Health, Conducted by Vidya Sagar, Chennai
Ritushree
Ritu Shree holds a Masters in Dance Movement Therapy
& Counseling from Antioch University (USA) as well as a Masters in Clinical
Psychology from Delhi University. She is currently pursuing her PhD in
Expressive Art Therapies at Lesley University, Boston, USA. She is an R-DMT
licensed member of the American Dance Therapy Association. She works
extensively with children on the autism spectrum, ADHD, developmental delay and
other childhood concerns. Her past experience includes having worked with
organizations such as Boston’s Children’s Foundation (BCF), Monadnock Family
Services, Cheshire Medical Center, Antioch University and Delhi Psychiatry
Centre - Adult Counseling Unit
Avantika Malhautra
Avantika Malhautra is a
Psychologist with her Masters in Psychology from Delhi University and a certification
as a Creative Arts Therapist from Studio for Movement Art and Therapies,
Bangalore, with 4 years of experience in the field. She has been a facilitator
with Creative Movement Therapy Association of India and is currently the
Director of Therapy at Artsphere in Pune overseeing therapy courses, school
& corporate projects, workshops and taking individual and group therapy
sessions with adult clients. She conducts bi-annual Art therapy retreats at
AyurYoga Eco Ashram in Mysore for international participants. She has been a
School Counselor at Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon working with children on
emotional-behavioral needs, adjustment issues, bullying and learning
difficulties. She has past experience working in diverse settings such as
hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centres and NGO’s across Bangalore, Delhi
and Pune. She has worked in the area of self-esteem and body image, depression,
loss and grief, psychosis, anxiety, sexual abuse, mental health rehabilitation
and with paedeatric cancer patients. She
founded Soul Canvas – Art for Wellness in 2014 to spread awareness about the
power of creative arts in self exploration, therapy and training. Her work
involves the client-centered approach to creative arts therapy using body
movement, body awareness, art journalling, painting, collage work, mask making
and role playing.

Module 2 will be held from 17th Feb to 28th Feb
Supervised Internship: March to June 2018
Module 3 will be conducted on 9th June to 10th June 2018

Eligibility Criteria
*Participants who have successfully completed the Dance/Movement
Therapy Foundation Course/Expressive Arts Therapies Foundation Course from any
of the following organizations – CMTAI, Artsphere, SMART, Fortis Healthcare or
TISS.
*The course requires one to have completed an
internship of minimum 36 hours
*All applicants will undergo an interview
*Attendance is important for course completion and
certification
*Outstation students have to arrange their own
accommodation

What is CMTAI?
The Creative Movement Therapy Association of India -
CMTAI is an independent, non-governmental organization that aims to bring
together professionals, students, beneficiaries and supporters of creative
movement therapy across the globe. It serves as a platform for
knowledge-sharing, practice, networking and promotion of interests, education,
research and benefits of creative movement therapy to all segments in India.
CMTAI Programs include: Movement in Education, Creative Movement Expression for
Working Professionals, Self- Awareness, Gender Sensitization, Dance for
Personal Development for Trainers and Caregivers and Youth Empowerment.
About Artsphere
Artsphere is a multi-faceted venue that fosters
engagement with arts and arts-based therapies for people of all ages. It was
started in 2013 with an aim to make art and art education accessible to all.
Our unique, flexible and well equipped venue is available for private and
corporate hire, for dance, theatre, music classes, art exhibitions, workshops,
film screenings, rehearsals and intimate performances. Located in the heart of
Kalyaninagar, the venue has state of the art facilities, an international sprung
